Luxury RV - Bus Conversion for Sale

On this page is a collection of photographs with captions. I had intended to spend the rest of my life in this wonderful one bedroom apartment on wheels. However, I am forced to sell by expense of extended illness and then death of my spouse.  In case you care, Virginia did not die in the RV, but we lived in this comfortable home full time for over five years. You may click on each of the pictures on this page to get a larger, high resolution version of that picture (hit the back button to return to this page after viewing bigger picture). Also included lower on this page are links to other pages containing additional information. Virginia and I affectionately named her "Bussie", and you may too if you wish.  Bussie took good care of us, and we took good care of her. There have never been any pets or smoking in her.

Price is $65,000 with owner financing, I'll consider substantially less for an all cash deal. Bussie is currently parked in Portland, Oregon (Zip 97220), and arrangements can be made to see her there. There are some very minor repairs needed (listed elsewhere on this site) and I'll do them included in my price, or discount if you want to do them yourself. They are nothing an average handyman cannot handle, Bussie has no major mechanical issues.

Financing is available through my listing at OneStopMotors.com, and I will also consider trade for a house in Portland Oregon, as it looks like I'll be staying here.

That's it for the primary pictures, now on to details.

The original bus is a GMC 40FT WIDE BODY 102" 1969 - model 5305A, completely refurbished and rebuilt from the ground up in 1989/90. This means you will be taxed on a 1969 in title only, yet actually have something much newer, and still qualify for "Classic / Collectors Item" license plates if you wish.. People have commented on how nice, and unique Bussie is wherever we taken her.

Bussie has a powerful 8v71 Detroit Diesel Motor with Allison automatic vs2-8 transmission and has had a complete frame up renovation and conversion with low miles on motor & transmission rebuilds. Bussie also has rebuilt rear end. Mechanically she is fairly new, and well taken care of. Bussie sports Alcoa Aluminum Rims with fairly new tires, peninsula RV thermo pane windows, and an all custom solid white oak wood interior (no stick & staple!). This rig is very comfortable, and she has MUCH MUCH MORE!! The owner before us, after purchasing her from the San Fransico Transit Department, put well over a quarter million in late 80s dollars into Bussie (would be over a million in todays dollars), and we have taken good care of her as well. Among other things, we added the satellite system, the removable work area, and the cellular telephone signal amplifier system which makes for more bars of signal wherever you go. This allows cell phone communication in areas where you otherwise could not.
