Bring
Back the Joy --- B B t J . O r g

Dear Friends,

Greetings from beautiful Colorado!

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for Mark and me during Year 2002.  We've been weathering the storms and have come out stronger and happier.

I sure learned a lot of lessons during my not-so-recent surgery.   With life threatening diseases, one begins to realize what things are important.  It's still hard to change old habits.  I recovered quickly and am living a fuller life than I was in mid-year.  I praise God every day that I'm still alive.  I've recovered well and still am believing for healing of the cancer.  I still have issues with blood pressure and water retention which is believe is caused by the two medications.  But the good news is that the cancer tumor is shrinking.  I'm trying to do better about proper diet; I've found it is much easier to exercise than it is to eat properly with so many temptations around.

Mark is still learning to trade stocks for a living.  It has been a long process, especially in this strange market we've been having the last couple of years.  I'm happy to report that he is beginning to see progress.

As you probably already know, I keep too busy with going to the gym nearly every day, attending a prayer group and two Bible Studies, "doing e-mail" and a host of other things.  I appreciate all you people who can keep up with the journal on the web site.  It saves having to repeat everything in personal e-mails.  However, please note that I do love hearing from everyone even if I'm not always good about writing back.

The other thing that is taking time for both of us is that Mark and I have begun taking a Video Correspondence Course from Charis Bible College, sponsored by Andrew Wommack Ministries,  http://www.awmi.net.  This is equivalent to the first year course.  We hope to be able to reorganize our lives so we can continue with the  second year class in Colorado Springs.  In the meantime, we are trying to zoom through the tapes so we can be caught up by the end of the school year.  We're learning a lot; even familiar topics have been made interesting.

I hope all of you are having a wonderful holiday season.  Best wishes for a Prosperous and Joyous New Year!
