Bring
Back the Joy --- B B t J . O r g

Sugar Control Diet ( Disclaimer ) was given to me, Virginia Lane in 1987 by Dr. Gerald Lizer in Eagle River, AK.  He said I needed to get my system back in order--that it was overloaded.  Mark Bolzern, later followed the Gluten-Free Diet ( Disclaimer ) which was given to him by Dr. Michele Johnson of Englewood, CO.

SUGAR CONTROL DIET

This Sugar Control Diet ( Disclaimer ) is used to help establish the sugar control mechanism.  Please follow it very closely.  As your condition improves various foods will be added by your Doctor.  The object is to return you to a normal well balanced diet as soon as your body will allow.  The close you follow this diet, the sooner your body will respond.

PROTEINS:  You may have as much protein as you desire but not less than the amount listed.

Red Meat at least 3 ounces 3 times a week
    Fish, unbreaded, unlimited
    Fowl, unbreaded, unlimited
    Eggs, unlimited
    Cheese, unlimited
    Cottage Cheese, unlimited

VEGETABLES:

    Green vegetables, unlimited
    Yellow vegetables, small portions

FRUITS:  All fresh fruits are allowed in unlimited quantity; canned fruits are limited; water packed unsweetened only; and frozen fruit and fruit juice must be unsweetened.

BEVERAGES:

Decaffeinated coffee, 3 cups daily allowed
    Tea, black, 3 cups daily
Milk if desired and if there is no skin or weight problem
WATER MANDATORY, 2/3 OZ PER POUND OF BODY WEIGHT DAILY!

SNACKS:

    Raw Cashews, unlimited
    Brazil Nuts, unlimited
Raw Fresh Coconut from shell, unlimited
    Yellow, aged cheese, unlimited

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:

You must eat every two hours of your waking day.  Two slices of RICE BREAD or SPROUTED GRAIN BREAD (Ezekiel 4:9 bread in the freezer section) per day may be eaten.

Roasted Rice may be used.  METHOD:  Place long grain rice in a dry skillet (preferably cast iron) with medium heat and stir constantly until browned to a golden brown.  Some of the kernels may pop.  Cool and store.  Cook as needed as you would cook regular rice.  The cooked rice will have a slightly nutty flavor from having been roasted.  This method changes the utilization of the rice within your body; the starch doesn't turn to sugar in the same way.

FOODS TO AVOID:

    Sugar
    Sweeteners
    Mixed Drinks/Alcoholic Beverages
    All wheat products
    Potatoes
    Cauliflower
    Yams
    Rice
    Dried Beans and Lentils
    Honey

IF IN DOUBT, DON'T EAT IT!
